Duckt #015

Duckt is a free daily canal-pipe puzzle. Every day at midnight a new grid is published — the same one for every player around the world. Each cell on the grid holds a pipe tile that you can rotate. Your job is to turn the right tiles so that a continuous waterway connects the duck to the bread.

Some tiles are locked in place and cannot be rotated — they are part of the fixed canal infrastructure. Everything else is yours to spin. When the path is unbroken end to end, you press the button and watch the duck swim home.

Step 1 — Read the gridLook at where the duck and the bread sit. Trace the locked tiles — they form anchors of the canal you cannot move. Everything rotatable is fair game.

Step 2 — Rotate tilesClick (or tap) any unlocked tile to rotate it 90° clockwise. Each click is one quarter-turn. There is no limit on how many times you can rotate a tile.

Step 3 — Build the pathA highlighted canal shows the connected waterway in real time. Keep rotating until the highlight runs continuously from the duck all the way to the bread.

Step 4 — Release the duckWhen the full path lights up, the button appears. Press it to send the duck paddling. That's your one daily attempt — make it count.

Pipe tiles come in a few shapes: straight sections that carry water in a line, elbow joints that turn the flow 90°, T-junctions that branch in three directions, and cross tiles that let water flow both ways through the same cell. Learning to read each shape at a glance is the main skill the game teaches.

Some puzzles also include teleport tiles — water that enters one teleport exits at its paired tile elsewhere on the grid. These add a spatial puzzle layer on top of the rotation challenge. The canal segment highlights as you build, so you always know exactly how far your waterway reaches.

→ Start from the duck and the bread simultaneously — trace inward from both ends to spot where they need to meet.

→ Locked tiles are your anchors. Identify which direction water must enter and exit each one before touching anything else.

→ Straight tiles and elbows are the easiest to place. Focus on T-junctions and crosses last — they have the most valid orientations.

→ If the path highlights but stops short, the blockage is at the first dark tile after the highlighted run.

→ The puzzle is always solvable. If you feel stuck, look for a tile you haven't rotated yet rather than second-guessing the ones you have.

Ducks can see in almost every direction at onceTheir eyes are on the sides of their head, giving them a field of view close to 340°. The duck on your screen probably sees the bread before you do.

A duck's quack does echoThe old myth that it doesn't is completely false — it just sounds quieter because of how ducks quack. Myth: debunked. Canal: still needs fixing.

Ducks sleep with one eye openThey can keep half their brain awake to watch for danger. This is called unihemispheric sleep. You, meanwhile, are fully awake and still haven't connected the canal.

Baby ducks imprint in the first hours of lifeWhatever moves first becomes "mum". If a duckling hatched while you were solving this puzzle, it might now think it's your problem.

There is no "play again" for the daily puzzle. One grid, one attempt, the same for every player around the world. Rotate your tiles, send the duck, and check back tomorrow at midnight UTC for a fresh canal.
